This is an elegant, beautifully-carved rocking horse of high quality. Harlequin has gorgeous carving, he's a well-sized horse that will make a wonderful choice to be ridden, admired and become a distinguished heirloom in his own right. An excellent option for someone looking for top quality without the price tag typically on an equivalent horse from a better-known maker.

He has extra carving to the lower leg, a detail that Ayres and Lines reserved for their highest models, and the carving to face and neck is just beautiful. He is worthy of consideration by a collector as well as someone looking for a quality horse for children to play with. His quality is equal to many very fine horses we have seen, only with a much more pocket-friendly price.

There is at least some original paint that appears to be in good condition, but as yet it's impossible to say whether it is salvageable.
