Exceptionally pretty rocking horse by Lines with beautiful extra carving, thistle badges on stand. Fully restored in 2015.

Paris was in worse condition than we expected and had fairly extensive repairs carried out including new ear tips, reset hind legs (one was damaged and needed repair), new eyes and more but looks the part again at last.
The stand cleaned up to reveal gorgeous silky patina which was cleaned up and re-waxed but otherwise not tampered with. The stand still has both its brass G&J Lines thistle badges - the front one is complete, the rear one has a chip missing.
The horse has a very light antiquing coat to soften the colour and we fitted suitably fine, silky hair for mane and tail.
Tack is high quality leather, vintage cotton velvet and vintage gold braid, handmade fine silk rosettes, antiqued brass rosettes and stirrups (not adjustable in order to minimise bulk from buckles).
Paris passed a test ride by our 6-year old son who weighs 19kg, but given past damage and fine Paris is, we feel Paris would only be suited to gentle riding by toddlers and small children.
Sadly offered for sale again - Paris was sold some time ago but his owner no longer has room for him hence he is offered for sale again.
This is a rare opportunity to acquire a genuine antique English rocking horse with recent full restoration. Our current wait time is around 3 years for restoration and we are not taking any more bookings. Paris comes with a photographic record of work done during restoration if desired.
