Attributed to Paul Leach, this beautiful horse exhibits all the usual characteristics of Leach - unparallelled elegance, realistic, graceful proportions, distinctive heel and hoof shape, bevelled stand base, unusual, solid pillars and the most beautiful carving to head and neck imaginable. These horses are highly prized by collectors and rocking horse enthusiasts for their beauty, quality and rarity. Many consider them the most beautiful rocking horses ever made.

For us - a dream come true. On top of that, Portia retains nearly all of her original paint, which has been sympathetically retouched but she still has the lovely patina of an antique.

The purchase of this wonderful horse was confirmed on the recent research trip to England and having seen her, so we know that photos do not do her justice.
